as far as I’m concerned, country died in the eighties…all the country music I listen to is from the seventies and eighties…some older Hank Sr. sometimes…Buck Owens too. mostly Waylon and Willie, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, people like that…two exceptions to nineties and later country music…Toby Keith and Dwight Yoakum.
Give me some George strait. Lol
I use to despise country music until i went in the hospital and was withdrawing from lexapro and haldol cold turkey my caregiver took me on walks and had me listen to country music and it brought me back to life
I was in a hospital once, top floor of a tall building, mental ward, smoking allowed. Each room had two beds and each bed had a radio and someone told me to listen to country to go to sleep.
After a few nights my roommate moved into his girlfriend’s room, lol, the nurses weren’t checking on us at night.
I like country music
Not really a big fan of modern country
I like Johnny Cash and some other older music.
I much prefer bluegrass
@Wave aw, now you’re talkin’…would love to play the banjo for you some day.
That would be great!
Wish I could listen to you play @jukebox
Lefty Frizzell’s Long Black Veil is my favorite version of the song.
No, I’m not a country music fan. Total rock chick here.
I respect the country artists, though – there’s some really good songwriters out there in country music land!
Not really as I find that firewood burns better.
I like some country songs, but overall I’m not that keen on it. It does, for me,rank above hip hop,rap and 101 types of hardcore heavy metal.
