I’m a big fan of early 90’s music, I was a teenager and enjoyed it.
I have a huge playlist and really enjoy it more than current-day music.

I read a study once that said whatever music we liked at age 12-14 will be our favorites for the rest of our lives.
That’s amazing, it’s true!
Also there’s this
Are you calling me a Millennial
?
No just that you’re right about older music being better !
Alt rock was being born back then. It’s my genre for life baby!
i’ve found, i’ve gotten tired of a lot of 90’s and now prefer modern americana and folk. but sometimes i still listen to some of the old stuff.
the other day, they were playing pearl jam on the radio, and i wasn’t liking it as much as when i was a kid. maybe because i’ve heard it so many times.
I’m a big fan of Tupac’s music back in the 90’s
The 80’s music was sweet and upbeat…the 90’s was mostly what I would call ‘Complaint Rock’.
However, bands like Radiohead, Oasis, The Posies…etc…were tremendous!
Alternative 90’s had some great stuff. Not a fan of the charts but some good underground stuff for sure.
Yeah and no. I still like to listen to the tunes from my youth once in a while, but most of my energy goes into exploring and finding new music that I like as it is released. I don’t want to be one of those old d00ds who does nothing but crab loudly about how everything new today is crap and, “back in my day…”
No thanks.
It’s good to run into another guy who likes modern music even though he loved the music from his high school days. Unless I’m reading too much into your post that is.
Songs from the 70’s and 80’s told stories.
Today’s music is all hat and no cattle.

Throwback Thursday on the pop radio here plays 90s. Its pretty nice sometimes. Hearing old songs while i smoke is nice. Something about it being on the radio makes it nostalgic.
I wonder if this is another place where autistic brains can deviate from the general population.
I’ve got some non-Aspie friends who feel the same as I do about music and they’re in my age range.
