With My free NHS dentist care I have good teeth.
I think I have good teeth.
My teeth are awful. My (s)asked about dentures for me, but then the dreaded Covid hit the UK. Covid and then the falls has meant no visit to the dentist for several years.
They are ok, but yellowish in color. I might try to remedy that at some point.
No im all gums here. I dont bother with false teeth. I eat just fine. But i do miss my salted peanuts, no way i can eat them now.
NHS Rate is £289 for a full set of dentures last time i checked, one day i will get round to it.
No wonder im single lol.
i ground my teeth to a rythm from age 17 to 36. it started one night on drugs and i never stopped until my 30s.
dont do drugs kids.
The free dental care for people on assistance in Canada is very basic and not all that good. Coverage may be better in the other provinces, but it’s not so hot in mine (Alberta). It contributed to the dental problems I had as an adult.
My teeth look great now and I can take them out and soak them at night as well. Very convenient.
I have an optional dental insurance.
I sometimes dream that my teeth are falling out and then I wonder if I’ll end up without teeth.
knew a guy with no teeth. owned a tree farm in luisiana and sweared he sang for a band in the 80s. dare i say their name?
!!! WTF . I’ll have to wait till I’ve boosted my savings a bit.
@firemonkey Im pretty sure you get your first set free tho (dont quote me it was years ago) but i remember i didnt pay for them back then. Unless the rules have changed.
Hopefully you’re right. Do they take your teeth out gradually so the dentures can be fitted?
@firemonkey Nope - mine were all ripped out in one go - and i went back a week later to have the dentures fitted when the swelling went down a bit. I got a follow up too, so they could be adjusted if they were rubbing.
That would worry me. Last time I had just one tooth taken out I developed dry rot… The pain was awful.
I have several teeth missing including half of one front tooth. My dental care is poor. Avolition and fear are culprits of that
I had good teeth, but I got my front teeth broken in half in a car wreck. Now I have a bridge, and that bridge tends to come loose every twenty years or so. Before too long I am going to have to get dentures. The enamel on my teeth has deteriorated a little. I don’t have that many cavities, but one time I bit down on a candy bar, and it had this kind of gummy, stick residue in it. Some of that residue went through a little hole in my teeth, right up to the nerve inside, and I got a tremendous jolt of pain. I do not look forward to having to get dentures.
I met one guy who had a scar on his lip from where he had gotten gangrene from compulsively chewing on it when he was on a methamphetamine binge.
Is it totally free for you? I have to pay for the little extra like cleaning.
