If so, how do you deal with it? Does it make you nervous, etc.?
If you want to share, how much do you pay regularly?

I don’t own and have 0 debits. I even payed back my student loan.
In my country, the first college degree, heck even the first masters at a state-owned school is paid in full by the government, so long as you get acceptable grades. You may even get a modest scholarship if you are a top student.
The sole financial debt is towards my family who’s raised me and supported me through years of unemployment. They won’t take money from me now, though.
I used to have a mortgage for a student housing that I bought and sold earlier this year.
It was a 10 year one but I payed it off after 6 years.
I was using the rent from my tenant to pay off the mortgage.
It was the most profitable deal I ever did, but managing a property and tenants was a lot of work.
Now I don’t have any debts anymore.
One large and one small. The small one was to afford upgrades to rental properties and shed some COVID personal line debt because we gave a LOT of rent relief to tenants.
Not yet
Maybe one day I’ll work
I have a few lines of credit that add up to about 3000£, slowly paying them off in mostly instalments but I miss payments all the time so my credit score takes a hit regularly.
Zero. Never had. And I hope I’ll never have any of it…
other than my car payment, which is a lease, I don’t have any debt
I don’t have any debts or a mortgage.
I have some credit card debt, but have used that to build credit. I could pay it all back immediately if I needed to close those lines. It is my plan to get a mortgage on a home once the market is more reasonable.
I have no mortgage and no debt. I learned my lesson when i was in my 20s and put a lot of manic purchases on credit cards and had to declare bankruptcy. Since then, if i don’t have the cash on hand then i simply don’t buy it. I also rent my place.
I have pretty bad credit card debt. Mostly from being too poor to pay for food with actual money. But also I put my tuition for school and other necessities like car repairs on cards too. So I have like 12k in card debt.
Makes me SO anxious. I eventually want to move out of our current apartment so we can have pets. Which would help my mental health improve by miles. But we’ll never be able to do that if my credit drops any more than it has.
im about 14k in debt total. and my income is under 1000 month.
@bittercat @irrelevant I understand. It must be extremely stressful for you.
I paid off my $9,000.00 student loan the first year I was working as a nurse.
I am happy to say that I don’t, and never will, have a mortgage or a vehicle loan. And I only carry one credit card and I’ve been paying that off in full each month for over 30 years. Needless to say, I always have zero debt.
My husband and I have a mortgage that’s $900/ month. Plus we pay taxes and the upkeep of the property, so it ends up being more than that.
We’re both on disability and make very little money.
To help out I just took a part time job. It pays for our food.
It’s stressful because we don’t know what we’ll do in an emergency.
The only debt i have is a student loan which is about $8k. I dont have to pay it back unless im working and earning above a certain amount, i forget how much.
My debt is student loan and mortgage
To move away from my apartment where I had to make service payments and live with some dodgy characters I had to stretch myself to the limit
Student loan deductions are made from my pay each month
The mortgage is currently fixed until I reach 73 years old
But when the interest rates go down I hope to reduce this
No mortgage (renting). No debts thankfully.
