I have a prepaid TracFone where you don’t get a monthly bill. I tried to give a creditor my new phone number, but they said I would have to send them a phone bill to prove the number was mine. Geesh! I would say the heck with them, but the website wants to text me a code to verify my identity. All I can really think to do is to pay this creditor off and close the account. They mostly want you to pay them using their website, but how am I supposed to do this if you don’t have my correct phone number to text the code to.
I’m getting tired of all this bs, and have made sure everyone except this one creditor is sending me a paper bill so I can mail check. This creditor won’t send me a paper bill.
Man that is super frustrating. I hate when two factor authentication goes wrong. It’s almost impossible to get around. I hope you’re able to get everything smoothed over soon.
Yes I do have a phone bill but my mom is kind enough to pay it for me. I have ATT. They are good with service. I know the bill is usually a couple hundred dollars for me and my moms phones. Expensive
My cell phone bill is like $250 a month. Four lines. Unlimited everything. I have a home phone too but have cable, internet and home phone. That’s like $300. I claim it all as a business expense.
