I used to be with Public Mobile, 20$ca/month everything unlimited lol but they don’t operate here anymore, only in Ontario. Data speed was slow but works lol
Yeah i had a subsidiary of that. Unlimited data but they throttled it if you abused it lol. Eventually i got put on the naughty list and they reaaaally throttled it
I pay like $50 a month probably. It’s like $25 but I usually get extra data so ends up being more.
Thanks @ThePoet @LevelJ1 @Aziz @LunaNoir @GrayBear
I’ve been looking into a carrier that will at provide me with an online bill. Maybe Consumer Cellular.
I think a lot of phone companies… I know mine does… Have an online “call history” page you can look up. Maybe you could print that page out as a sort of bill or proof of some kind. It might have your phone companies logo etc at the top and that might be enough for them… maybe worth looking into.
My phone is prepaid. I buy a phone card as needed. Topups expire after 4 months. I probably spend 20 dollars a month or less my currency. (That is US $3)
My mobile phone bill is £25 a month Unlimited for everything, including Europe. Social services pay it.
To me, this is just more of what @Bowens was talking about with unneeded layers of senseless tech and tech control. I use a tracfone as well but google, outlook, and nearly everyone seems to require us to have passwords for our passwords for our passwords. Its exasperating.
I also have TracPhone and pay $17 a month or so after taxes.
The way Verizon treated me I will do prepaid instead.
Dumb ■■■■■ put me on hold for a half hour when I just wanted the account number. Koksukers!
My phone is free unlimited everything, voice, text and data, through a Federal program that provides phone service to people with VERY LOW incomes, in my case general assistance and food stamps. They also provide a phone, which is a so-so smartphone, they just send you the one they have in stock. If you think you or somebody you know might qualify, search for SAFELINK, you’ll see entries for various providers, and you can go from there.
PS If you see a provider called Assurance Wireless, check them out. That’s who I have and I 've never had a problem. Just FYI, not an endorsement.
I have 2 phones…my low income “Lifeline” phone thru GCI costs $7 a month, unlimited talk and text, with 5 Gb data. The phone they gave me when I signed up is a POS, but a guy at my clubhouse sold me his iPhone SE for $150 and it was only a month old. This phone is my backup.
My Verizon phone is paid for by my mom. She has herself, my dad, my sister, my niece, and me all on one plan. I don’t know what it all costs.
I got the Lifeline phone cuz I know that when my parents die, I won’t be able to pay for continuing the Verizon plan.
OK I’m sorry I f*cked up, the name of the program is LIFELINE, SAFELINK is a different think entirely, please if you’re gonna check it out, look up LIFELINE, they’re the ones who are going to hook you up in your area. I’M SORRY if I misled anyone, SAFELINK used to be ones but it changed. Lifeline is now the admin/provider. Many sorrows for the miscommunication.
Just MOP: Lifeline ROCKS OUT LOUD!!! I feel like I 'm stealing service everything is free wholly free holy free it’s just a phenomenal service package that I get just for being broker than a broke-d*ck dog. The idea that I can use total access to the internet for free just kills me man. I’m just so balanced between services, tiny incomes, my ACT team providing therapy (,such as it is) that also provides my meds to my door, and also this phone, all told it’s a package that works for me right now.
