Do you have a air fryer?

Would you recommend them? I’m thinking about buying one but they are £200 which is a bit expensive but might get one if they have good reviews. What do you like cooking in yours?

Yes. It’s really just a small oven, which is great cause heating up the big oven is a big ordeal.

Everything comes out just like how it would from an oven.

There is some lengthy discussion on air fryers in this forum. You should search it lol. Recalls and electric fires and intrigue.

I had one but never used it cuz it seemed too complicated for me. I donated it to my clubhouse and they use it frequently.

I got one for Christmas. The only problem I have with it is, my chips come out smelling a certain way which I would rather not have. Despite that it is quite handy to have and cooks my chips more thorough than the oven and more quickly too

do you make fresh chips or frozen chips, do they both cook good?

Frozen, I think it will cook pretty much anything but my auntie put a whole chicken in there once and it was too much to handle but in theory it would work with more space

£200??? I was thinking more like £69 from Argos. I want to get one so that I can cook two items at the same time, one in the air fryer and one in the microwave, which is how I do all of my cooking. From what I have read you have to put a little oil in them from time to time, and the ‘bucket’ looks big enough to have a good amount of chips or whatever in it.

We have one for the kitchen but haven’t taken it out of the box. Our kitchen is really small and doesn’t have much counter space. I don’t even keep a toaster on it.

But I have a griddle outside and it has two drawers that work as air fryers and one warming drawer. It works okay. I cook a lot of frozen stuff you would usually fry and it’s good and supposedly better for you. I haven’t tried cooking meats in it. But egg rolls, fries and onion rings all come out okay. The frozen ones. I haven’t tried fresh ones.

  1. Yes I have one.
  2. Yes I would recommend one.
  3. You’re spending too much. My daughter has one she spent $50 CDN on that works better than my expensive one.

Yea, 200 sounded like a lot to me, too.

I don’t know what my wife paid for the counter top one but the outdoor griddle was about $850 I believe. It’s a Blackstone. Definitely expensive for an air fryer but will make a mean breakfast for a large group on the griddle. I think I ordered it from Walmart. They delivered it to the house.
