Do you get bored very easily?

I do. I’m bored right now and felt like “hey, I bet someone on here is bored too.”

It makes me do things like smoke a cigarette when I’m not supposed to (I let myself have one every morning then I put on a patch) and I play with my phone when I’m bored too.

I get bored like really really easily and it makes me seek out challenging activities. It actually makes me more productive. The thing is, after dinner on Sunday I don’t know what to do. I stay busy or with friends or family at all other times. Like last night (Saturday) I hungout with some friends. I was working on applications all day and today I worked and then went for a run and worked some more on some study guides.

It’s 930 and I know I’m not gonna go to sleep till like midnight and then wake up at 8.

When i get bored i read a book or watch some sports or listen to/make some music

i dont get bored very easily because i have good coping skills for it

I am bored at the moment. I had bad dreams last night so woke up exhausted. My mind doesn’t function well after a bad sleep, although I drank a big cup of coffee. The coffee didn’t help.

When I was bored, I usually browsed the internet. But nothing exciting happened this monring. Lol.

I get bored really easily… I think it comes with restlessness and agitation.

I agree with you. I have the same problem.

I get bored easily but can never manage to really focus on anything for long enough to not be bored. There are plenty of things I could do, but I never care enough to actually do them. I usually just end up clicking between a bunch of tabs on my computer and never really doing much. Sometimes I’ll go for a walk, but even then sometimes I’ll just walk out the door and be annoyed at the sunshine and go back inside.

Usually I just have to force myself to do something, anything, or I’m just blah all day.

During my most productive moments I get bored.

Boredom? Hah. I’ve overcommitted with about five volunteer activities. I’ll be bored in my next incarnation.

Dude, I know the feeling! I have this similar thing in which the moment after doing something very productive is incredibly boring!

I don’t do anything most of the time except watch TV and listen to music, but rarely find myself getting bored for some reason. Maybe a little bit during the early afternoon, but a cup of coffee sorts that out.

Isn’t boredom just the (expectable) result of believing that one should be entertainingly stimulated as a matter of choice? And is the belief that one can be entertainingly stimulated at all times actually supported by verifiable evidence?

Uh not entertained, I would say occupied instead. And well to be real, yes I can prove that I am not bored when I have plenty of crap to do. We can see how often I log on here and correlate it with the volume of crap I have to do!

Yeah I feel ya there,
I get bored all the time. Sometimes I don’t know what to do with myself. So I decided to get involved in my community and help out at a local food shelf to stay busy, but other then that, theres times… where Ill just sit in my apartment and relax for a couple hours with nothing on and I enjoy it because of the problems with my head. I have hard time with light sensitivity in certain situations so I tend to keep it dark sometimes its not a lonely thing or a feeling of hopelessness I just feel the need to sit in the man cave and relax with nothing on. If I sleep, I sleep. If I don’t, so be it.

A buddy of mine put it this way people who seem to be bored most of the time have a lack of imagination. Which in my case makes sense because I don’t feel that I’m living to my full potential like I should be, but in the circumstances I’m in I have to watch how I go about things. Like I use to do a lot of things all the time, but then once I moved out of the country and my car went kaput I haven’t been able to do the things I want because of some of those things. I do find working out with a friend a helper or watching movies or playing some playstation at times, or reading a book or two on my “delusions”.
sometimes Ill even jump online for a couple of hours at a time looking up stuff that I enjoy. I guess in reality I’m not as bored as it seems but it just feels like I’m going through the motions sometimes in my daily life because I feel like Sh!@ because of my medical problems with my sinuses. Having chronic medical problems can put a damper on your day to day feelings and activities.

I know how it feels though fo sho…!
