No I don’t. If it is a special occasion I will dress up, or if all my friends are going to dress up for something then I will dress up too to not be the odd man out. But other than that I do not care at all and would wear only pajamas 100% of the time if socially acceptable. I like loose and comfy clothing. I don’t even wear makeup, it’s bad for my skin & irritates my eyes.
My mom hates how little I care and always buys me nice clothes only for me to never wear them. Over time she learned my must be loose and comfy rule and now tries to get me fashionable clothes in that area. She’s compromising
When I was younger I was in a mean friend group that would bully me and nitpick me constantly over it, so I became obsessed w my appearance and looking fashionable all the time. I had rules like I could only wear my hair up once a week, I’d brush my hair between classes and fix my makeup, at sleepovers I’d wear my makeup to bed. Horrible. When I got out of that environment I reverted and am very comfortable with myself again.
I wear jeans and nerdy t-shirts, and I don’t care if they’re old or supposed to be men’s t-shirts.
I sometimes wear feminine tops or long shirts, but nothing fashionable. I don’t mind getting my clothes at thrift stores, and I couldn’t care less about fashion.
I like following all the holiday hoopla in shops though I usually just buy something small when I go out. Like a Christmas smelling spray to go with the Christmas music. I’m not really materialistic but I find window shopping and following the changing seasons and events around town very fun. I feel having schizophrenia made me more interested in holidays.
i try to fit in. however it disappointments me when styles change and i have to buy new clothes.
women’s styles seem silly for changing. men’s pants that were in style 30yrs ago are still in style.
men seem less led astray by fashion designers/let’s make everyone want new stuff dudes. ’
