Do you exercise daily

I ride my bicycle daily 10-20 km and I consider this is good exercising. What about you, do you exercise daily?

Yes, I walk for at least 30 min. a day, if not more.

I’m starting T25 on monday. I’ve done it before, saw great results and got high after exercise.
I rarely walk, except in shopping centres here in Montreal and I don’t know how to ride a bicycle.
I’m thinking of going swimming twice a week.

Maybe not daily in this rain and Fall weather… but every other day… got to swim… I hit the pool at least 4 times a week.

I can really feel it mentally if I don’t…

the quiet… the floating… the black line on the bottom of the pool… no noise under water…

Yeah. I take Saturday’s off. I jog, do advanced calisthenics, box, and do some dumbbell exercises for my shoulders.

I’m pretty experienced in sports and exercise, I should have majored in it, but my passion is the psyche. I just workout for therapeutic and health reasons. I wouldn’t want to make it a career given the meds and such.

I have done lots of types of exercise…these days I am doing functional strength training, which is mostly advanced calisthenics, and fitness, running 5k’s and boxing. I have done pretty much all of the different types of exercise, from long distance running to powerlifting.

I really became concerned for my health when I realized that I have a chance at graduate school. I quit thinking of myself as expendable when I got heavy into research. Before that I was taking preworkout, lifting like insane and smoking a pack a day and eating bad food.

It feels good to run for thirty minutes and just have my morning coffee and not be a meathead. That and I like being less likely to have a heart attack or a stroke.

My friends have matured as well and I workout with them. My two workout buddies are way different- one is massive and the other is slim. I’m pretty built, so I’m in the middle. I get along well with other fitness conscious guys- it’s a lifestyle that is challenging and I think it says something good about you if you take care of your body with exercise.

That and my boredom and irritability make working out practically part of my therapy. I am digesting my breakfast and meds and will workout once I feel patched up. It’s also a good thing for addicts (I am one) because it’s a natural drug and really does help with agitation and anxiety.

I really do swear by exercise. I would say it is definitely part of my therapy.

Nope. I use to exercise but the voices talk through my daily regiment saying all kinds of stuff that I just decided not to even try. Though I may try again, I just have to deal with the voices. T_T

Back in my early 20’s I was a gym nut, but now I’ve changed my tune. After lots of praying I’ve come to the conclusion that this life is not eternal on Earth - these days are all temporary and we’ve no clue what the final outcome of death is going to lead to.

As a result, I stopped lifting, among many other hobbies, and became extremely monastic. I’m waiting patiently for “higher instruction” about my situation in the next life. To be honest, I’d rather do something God enjoys watching or having me do, not things that are vain.

All that said, I walk when I can - when I wake up with expendable energy.

I’ve had the custom of exercise about 2/3 of my adult life… currently in a non exercising phase. It is really rubbish… not being able to climb stairs or walk up a hill easily.

I do have exercise phases which last 6 weeks - 5 years… couple of 5 yrs ers and many few months or year or so’s…

my couch potato days are often when i am not driven… I get pretty driven and do most days when i do exercise, involving a role model or idea behind it… grasping a lot really

I think being 41 has a downside for exercise… even just a little bit slowed down doesn’t help because i’m not a natural athlete.

When i do exercise i have unreasonably high expectations of myself and feel no achievement

I don’t, but I should, so I’m going to start to. All I need is motivation.

For the most part I do cardio and lift weights about 6-5 days a week. I try for 7 but usually there is a day or 2 in the week I just don’t feel up to it. Got my exercise equipment in the garage, winter is coming soon, not sure what I’ll do then.

I started today :v:t2:️ I did for 20 minutes. Gonna keep going :ok_hand:t2:

We got some snow today and yesterday, but I still went riding my bicycle. Felt actually quite good. Now I have a chance to wear my fur hat. Here is a photo of myself in a local bus yesterday.

I used to do 2,000 repititions a day on the jump rope, run five miles, and lift weights when I was in my 20’s. Now I exercise ever so little, but I do think it helps. If it wasn’t for the med’s I still could do 2,000 repititions on the jump rope, but that’s changed now.

@crimby I started exercise yesterday. I’m pushing myself to overcome the laziness. I feel uneasy and my head is acting weird. But I’m gonna do it! it’s a 3 month program. I did it last year too.
