If I forget to take one dose, I can’t sleep. If I forget to take many doses, I get psychotic again and end up back in the hospital.

I use an app called Medisafe that reminds me to take my meds so I don’t forget. It’s great. Very helpful

Nope. I never forget… I just set an alarm on my phone.

I take all my meds except for the AP in the AM so it’s hard to forget to take anything.
I can imagine for people that take meds throughout the day it can be difficult.
I would just recommend printing out a daily checklist so you know what you’ve taken and when.
Just my .02

I forgot on Sunday evening. My pdoc says missing one or two a month is not worth getting stressed over. Most of the time it doesn’t even make any difference other than sleep patterns might be interrupted.

I notice in just a couple of hours. I started using a pillbox to help me remember.

I can miss a couple of days and not tell the difference. But the longest I’ve gone without meds in 20 or 25 years is four days. I started to feel a little weird and a little scared; I felt something coming on. I had run out of meds but when I finally got them and took my normal dose I felt better within a day. That was just about four years ago.

I use weekly pill boxes and it was just as scary as when I accidentally doubled up and took my night meds twice. Schizophrenia runs a insidious course so when I began to feel strange, at first I didn’t connect it with taking too much of my meds. Then it started to accelerate and I connected the dots and knew what I had done. I thought I would have to be hospitalized. This was at night but I went to bed early and the next morning I felt OK again.

I remember the morning and evening doses. I sometimes forget the during the day doses. I don’t notice much of a change if I miss.

Rarely I will forget to take my afternoon dose of Depakote.
I normally don’t forget to take my doses of meds thanks to pillboxes and alarms set on my phone.

I can have an emergency if I miss just one dose. One day last year I went to work and forgot my morning meds and I was a wreck by 9 am and had to leave. I started texting myself every night before I went to bed for that job.

For my current job I carry a bottle of each of my morning meds and anxiety medication in my back pack which I bring with me every day. I used to keep them in my car but these days I never know what car I am driving. If I take my dogs to day camp I drive my wife’s SUV. If not I take my car.

Rarely it happens to me, a handful of times a year, I forgot a morning dose of my Wellbutrin and Lorazepam last week for the first time ever, luckily I had my mid day dose of both with me to get at least part of what I normally take.

If I do forget though it is usually my nightly Invega and Abilify, I then take them in the morning and don’t notice much different.

If I forget my nightly meds it does make it a bit harder to sleep.

Zyprexa doesn’t worry me but effexor I’ll know in a couple of hours. I’m on a large dose, 300mgs and it really does have a big withdrawal. Not very pleasant so I’m pretty good at taking meds.

I’m on lamotrigine an if I miss a dose I have to go back to 25mg an start it all over again to get back to 100mg.
