all my life ive eaten super fast. i go back for seconds and thirds before my family even finishes their first plate. my dad used to say i probably got that from him because when he was in the military they had to eat fast because they were only allowed a few minutes. my mom keeps saying how do i taste the food when i eat so fast. i kinda dont like how fast i eat because if its something good its gone too quick but eating at a slower speed feels like im acting like im eating instead of doing whats natural for me
I eat fast.
I have many siblings, the majority being brothers.
My mom had a rule that our first helping had to be modest, then we could take a bigger second portion if we weren’t full.
But, by the time I was done with my first portion, the boys would be on their second or third and all the good pieces were gone.
So, I learned the rule actually was “eat fast, or eat nothing”
i grew up with cousins and it would be me and like 8 cousins every summer and our fam would bring like 1 pizza for dinner a lot lol. there were fights over which slice, how many slices, when to share slices so everyone could have at least 1 slice.
also food instability due to poverty throughout childhood, when i get delicious food something kicks in, like i want to consume it so fast. so weird lol
I used to eat very fast. But now I can’t due to slow motility of the stomach. I now take 1-2 hours to eat. I hate it because I feel like I’m grazing.
I eat a smidge slow. When together with family I’m always the last one at the table. They’ll start doing the dishes and I’m still finishing my food.
I eat too fast, and I’m always wanting seconds but I don’t get them cuz I don’t want people to think I’m greedy. I also tend to “hoard” food by buying like two of something just so I have it on hand even if I’m not likely going to use it right away.
