Do you believe diet soda is healthier than soda with sugar?

Yes diet soda is healthier than regular soda. But it is not healthy to drink large amounts of it either.

another good question is if coffee as healthy as majority of people seem to agree on. energy drinks have been bashed for so long but coffee is praised, when some energy drinks have less caffeine than coffee, zero sugar and all the special ingredients are just random vitamins and supplements in miniscule doses that have no real effects, and taurine which is good for you. there are tons of cases of adverse effects related to coffee but its such a common drink that no one cares, but if one of those prone to sensitivity to caffeine people drink an energy drink it ends up in the news, even if the same thing would happen with coffee

I drink diet coke when I can…wife drinks regular coke…she only drinks one every couple days…I drink about two a day when I have them.

It’s quite interesting. Isn’t it kind of like when cigarettes were once introduced, There were many doctors in the past who were claiming they were completely safe and we all know how that ended up?

Edit: My doctor told me to stay away from caffeine it can exacerbate my bipolar though I do drink soda on a special occasion.

I am not a fan of soda regardless of how it’s sweetened. I primarily drink plain water. I sometimes drink sparkling water with natural fruit flavor but unsweetened. For some reason carbonated beverages make me feel thirstier. That’s why I usually just drink plain water.

i consume alot of caffeine, it has not much benefit or negative, just basically feel like since ive been drinking it daily for years i rather take a caffeine pill or drink a caffeinated beverage than deal with the discomfort of readjusting body to no longer consuming it. that first headache i get after a day without coffee is an instant nope for me

Luckily I wasn’t a big drinker of coffee in the first place so it was that hard for me to quit.

I’ve never seen anything solid that diet soda is bad for you, but I’ve seen the results of regular soda.

I’d rather have a bit of sugar than put some random synthetic chemical in my body

Artificial sweeteners and micro plastics are the asbestos of the 1950s.

Everyones claiming theyre fine until 10 years from now it become common knowledge (as it should be now) that they’re harmful

Sodium cyclamate has been in use for over half a century and repeated attempts to link safe levels of consumption to cancer have failed. You’ll die of water poisoning before you can drink enough cyclamate sweetened tea for the sweetener to affect you. Don’t like aspartame? Better avoid dairy and meat because they contain it. Aspartame is made of naturally occuring aminos.

The moral panic over sweeteners amuses me.

That’s not entirely accurate when it comes to aspartame.

Aspartame is made of the two naturally occurring amino acids, phenylalanine and aspartic acid , which are also components of proteins in our body and in food. The phenylalanine in aspartame has been slightly modified by adding a methyl group which gives aspartame its sweet taste.

Regardless of this overconsumption of any amino acids, vitamins or minerals can lead to adverse effects.

I hope those who are sceptical to aspartame are wrong though, considering how popular it is.

Yes, thank you for the correction. I am still not worried about it. Also still waiting for MSG and gluten to kill me.

Bing AI about MSG
While MSG has been associated with various health issues in the past, most of these myths have been dispelled. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified MSG as a food ingredient that’s generally recognized as safe.

However, it’s important to note that some people may be more sensitive to MSG than others. If you have a known sensitivity or reaction to MSG, it would be best to avoid it. As always, if you have specific health concerns or dietary restrictions, it’s a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional.

In summary, MSG is generally considered safe for most people, but individual reactions can vary. It’s always a good idea to maintain a balanced diet and be mindful of the ingredients in the foods you consume.

Bing AI about gluten

Gluten is a protein found in wheat and some other grains. It’s not inherently unhealthy for most people. In fact, gluten-containing foods have been providing people with protein, soluble fiber, and nutrients for centuries.

Edit: I guess your going to be waiting a long time.

Everything kills you in the long run. Even lettuce.

I knew some super healthy or paranoid nutrition people back in the day. Everything causes cancer and you start dying after you are born basically, from what I heard.

I don’t drink any kind of soda very often. I drink a lot of 1% milk. Suits me fine.
