i hate it when it is too noisy bc it gives me a head ache but i think its about getting the right balance in music, not too loud and not too boring, like i like dance music and the noisiest albums i have got are Royal Blood and Death from above 1979, these are recent purchases but it was worth it not too much noise just enough and no screaming and shouting but still i wouldn’t recommend anyone getting any music without checking them out on youtube first, i loved Black Sabbaths album 13 too its fricken awesome lol.
Wouldn’t Led Zeppelin be considered the first metal band? Or first POPULAR metal band?
I listen to metal. Slipknot is my favourite band. I also listen to System of a down, Korn and Avenged Sevenfold.
Their influence was and is definitely huge. I am a big fan of Led Zeppelin.
Korn has some new stuff that is pleasant to listen to!
No…that would be classic rock…blues rock in a lot of songs. however Dazed and Confused was often played on the Metal hour in the 80s.
Jimi Hendrix actually had metal type songs in the 1960s, prior to Zeppelins first release in 69.
Black Sabbath was fill heavy metal though in most of its music…They first played in 1969 and the first release was 1970.
So while others did play some metal type songs, Sabbath was the first one who was considered a metal band…at least in the mainstream.
Korn sounds pretty much like Alice in Chains that I listened to a lot in school.
I like some metal to vent my frustrations, to (bleed out bad blood)…whatever you take that for. I love music very much and though I find that I’m not some maestro others are…without music I just dunno. Imagine old America when dancing was devilish…that’s creepier than metal bands dedicated to a demon like kult of azazel or something…
Seems pretty cheesy and harmless to me…
Christian metal is an excellent genre for what I mean. I will post some in a few.
Christian Metal examples:
Some is good quality. I remember in the 80s when it first came out a lot was really Cheezy metal that couldn’t compete musically with secular metal.
the band Trouble was one exception, they had a Black Sabbath type sound and were pretty good. today there are a bunch of good Christian metal bands.
Psalm 9…yeah they kinda borrow some Sabbath sound…
