Or do u cook
I usually get ready meal from m&s
I eat a lot of ready meals. By the time you buy the meat, veg and other ingredients stuff you prepare yourself can be expensive.
If my income drops drastically, as I expect it to , I’ll be living on £1 ready meals and pasta, frozen veg and everyday value pasta sauce.
I’ve been learning how to cook. For ages my sister cooked for me. It’s time I do this for myself.
we cook nice meals occasionally but usually it’s “open a can of peas with butter” or a can of chili and crackers.
I cook maybe 2 nights a week. Leftovers and ready meals the other days of the week.
no. i never eat ready meals. if i don’t cook i;ll have a sandwich, or toast or cheese and crackers. but i need to lose weight so i’ll be incorperating a lot more fruit and veg into my diet after the new year. i need to snack on carrot sticks and dips instead of cheese and crackers and toast with butter. i also need to eat a lot more nutritionally balanced meals. avolition and or mental illness goes hand in hand with a bad diet. i think as a populace, we need to make more of an effort to eat well, especially our subset of the populace. good post x
Why not start now!?! I always think its funny when people say I’ll start later, or at such and such a time…
i have…i’ve just introduced homemade smoothies into my diet as of last week. i can’t do it every day as i can’t afford the different combinations needed not to get bored but so far i did it on four days last week. i also kept a note of what i was eating day by day and believe me it made for some bad reading. so for now and until the feasting stops on new years day, that’s my one thing i have to do. then after i’ve finished stuffing my face i will introduce other foods day by day or every couple of days.
We eat a lot of ready made meals, but not as they are, we add lots of onions, mushrooms, cheese, vegetables, whatever needed to give it more flavor. It’s cheaper to start with ready made meals that to cook for 2from scratch.
My diet is protein and vegetables which includes dairy. I eat a LOT of meat. So it’s easy to just bake some chicken or broil some steak or pork. But I like to cook homemade meals for myself. I have a few favorite recipes that I will make. I shop about every two or three weeks. The first two weeks immediately after I shop I will make some fancy meat dishes for myself. But after two weeks I run out of fresh vegetables and other ingredients so for a week it’s either just plain meat OR my specialty which is basically cutting any meat or vegetables I have to use up into cubes and frying it all together and dousing it with soy sauce. It kind of turns out like Chinese food.
But I can cook up some good meals. TV dinners and ready --made meals or other frozen meals are not in my diet.
I love to cook, I never buy precooked meals.
