Some times one is less well or feeling confused, disorientated and not functioning as wonderfully as usual and or one lives alone and cooking just for oneself is not as fun as it is cooking for some one.
I love:gift_heart: cooking for someone but not just for myself.
I also had few moments where i was having difficulties keeping it together.
If i had of taken the step to call meals on wheels or lite n easy or similar i probably may not of been hospitalised last time.
It is ever so lovely that we then have options and help.
I have recently started lite n easy and absolutely love it.
So much consideration and thought put in to the meals and one gets daily fruit and snacks and dieticians and team put together menu and plans.
I am on 1500 calorie breakfast and lunch only and make my own simple dinner.
There are other similar ready meals such as meals on wheels and etc
They are great i reccon.
Good on em.
For someone not well it can do wonders to have meals taken care of.
One gets little bags for each day and meal time.
It is more expensive than i would normally spend on food but i am loving it and i dont drink alcohol or smoke etc so i chose to put that money on this for the time being anyway while i am living alone and am as am.
Praise to them!!!
I used to volunteer work packing meals.
It was a good job for someone like me.Just packeting food.Simple and not heaps of socialising involved although there was coffee break at a big table.
It was 4 or 5 hour shifts and a really big coffee break.
So, if you are having a “down” period or having difficulties then think of that because it can be very helpful and its so organised and simple and healthy.
If one feels one can not afford it one could maybe just but one meal a day to start with so one gets something good every day and try to talk with someone about arrangement for something.
