I don’t watch tv at all. occasionally I watch Netflix. But I can’t watch most comedies because it seems that humor now is all about humiliation. I get so stressed by it. It’s like I’m living it. So I don’t even try. I stick with sci-fi/ horror. I like watching incomplete series though. If I like it it is something to look forward too. Like I’m really looking forward to seeing the second part of Dune.
I still avoid paranormal or spiritual things. And no way I will go to psychological thrillers or horror movies or so. Also avoid things like death metal in music. But it got a lot better. I recently watched a movie about sexual abuse (Women Talking). This was okay. It’s mostly the darker paranormal themes, that are the problem. And will always be.
yes, the only horror films I watch every year is Halloween one on Halloween night, and Angel Heart, a film with Robert de Niro and Mickey R’ourke. I stay in science fiction movies like Star Wars, and Indiana Jones. Die Hard is always good…and Roadie my favorite movie…open to watching new series…I am really interested in Wednesday and Game of Thrones.
I don’t do well with new stuff— can’t concentrate and the uncertainty of what will happen makes my anxiety flare.
So I just watch the same shows and movies— less to think about and it’s almost like a cozy sweater sort of feeling when I put them on, if that makes any sense.
Nice to see you @Blizzard .
Haven’t seen you for a while.
I avoid such things as well.
Lately it’s been difficult for me to watch most shows on tv.
I stopped watching the news and tv but I struggle a little watching paramount n Netflix n binge even.
I struggle to watch anything now because I get too anxious and impatient and just want to know how it ends. I usually look up spoilers after all the episodes have aired and decide if it’s something I want to watch.
I’m like this with TV shows and also with computer games. I find I like playing/watching the same thing over and over rather than try something new. Sometimes I’ll get in an adventurous mode and try something new but it rarely lasts more than a few hours.
