Do people think you're odd?

Even outside of a psychotic episode.

Nope only when psychotic

I’m only odd when I get comfortable around people. Sort of like an inner child that pops out.

I have a habit of going to the post box in lounge clothes. It is just across the road from my flat so I can never be bothered to get in jeans.

In my little village this has drawn second glances

I get odd looks all the time, and @anon94176359 im known for going down the corner shop for milk in my slipppers with no teeth in, in the morning lol.

Alot of people stare at my half an ear - especially little ones.

Before schizophrenia, people here would call me crazy Buddhist.

Definitely yes but I have since my I was ten years old. I guess that is why maybe I learned how to cope with my sz and PTSD where everyone thinks I’m a ba bit odd.

Yes. There are people who think I am odd. It doesn’t matter if I’m psychotic or not. I consider myself diferent, but not odd.

Oh yeah, I whole heartedly believe I’m an oddball. Normal people don’t have my experiences that changed me. They haven’t seen what I’ve seen, learned what I’ve learned.

I’m odd, but that doesn’t mean I’m bad

I cultivate a reputation of eccentricity. It helps mask my symptoms when they show: I’ll buy two pairs of the same shoes in different colours and wear different colours on each foot. I like to wear a bowler hat. I affect mildly eccentric speech when not at work. Instead of saying, “that’s right” or “okay”, I just say “gronk”. (I’m a Larry Niven fan.)

So, yeah, I’m odd. And that’s okay.

Maybe, but I prefer the term unique.

People tend to think I’m a little eccentric, but they usually attribute that to my having been homeschooled. :stuck_out_tongue:

Generally speaking people don’t think I’m odd. Unless the interaction lasts for more than 20 minutes that is. After that I run out of steam.

I think I’m actually less odd when psychotic.

Are you by chance the Minister of Magic?

And yeah same, I act like a goofball regularly on purpose, but for a different reason. Everyone is always so worried about being the weird one in the room. When I show up, they stop worrying, because I’m definitely the weirdest one. So I put all the socially anxious people at ease and they act more relaxed.

I’m quirky. People say it is endearing.

Yeah, I’m compelled to act oddly and I am pretty odd.

People tend to notice when I switch. But other than that I feel I pull off “normal” pretty well.

I’m quite the social chameleon

People in college used to call me eccentric. It was a good quality to have at an art school. I’m much more normal now, having tightened up a bit since my illness, so no, I’m really not odd anymore other than being a little shy.

My father used to call me weird when I was little. My friends in school used to call me strange. My commanding officer called me eccentric. My coworkers called me crazy. My partner today calls me eccentric.
