Hi peeps,
Does anybody else hallucinate sometimes when speaking on the phone?
I’m not sure if I’m having auditory hallucinations while on the phone or if it’s actual background noise on their end.
It’s very distracting and can be distressing also.
Thanks in advance and hope you’re all doing well

I don’t hallucinate but every so often there’s an echo on the phone. So phones can be flakey.
What kind of noises are you hearing?
It’s quite possible it’s just background noise if you’re not sure about it.

I got into bed the other night and heard two raps on my door and I knew it was a hallucination. I have a one room apartment.

I totally have hallucinated on the phone. ‘Heard’ all sorts of beeps and whirrs from imagined recording devices. Heard a repeating beep on calls that my room mate could not hear.
Sorry you going through this 2na

This is true.
It’s other people talking in the background— can’t make out what they’re saying so my brain fills in the gaps… good times . It’s making my paranoia and conspiracy theory side flare up a bit to be honest.

Thanks for your reply @Jimbob
Geez, that must have been unnerving @jimbob — sorry you’ve had to go through that.
Glad to hear it’s gone away a bit for you with meds and less stress
