Because that’s when I began smoking in earnest. I was dieting successfully and “treated” myself to a cigarette after my meager meals. This was way back when I was 19. I soon gained the weight back and the smoking never did quit. Now that I have my weight under control, I have learned that some of my desire for a cigarette is really hunger, so I will fix myself a light snack and put off the cigarette.
