About two months ago, I joined a gym because I couldn’t stand how big I had gotten. I also started learning how to cook more fresh foods and stopped eating processed or overly sugary foods. And now, I have actually lost five pounds! It might not be a lot, and it might have taken a long time, but I really think it’s going to stick. I changed my whole lifestyle, instead of just trying a complicated diet, and I really think I can maintain this! I only have 15 pounds to go before I’m back to my pre-risperidone weight! I lost the first 15 pounds easily after I switched to Geodon, but these last ones have been hard work! I might actually be able to wear a bathing suit this summer!
Im currently 235 up 20 pounds since I quit smoking. Ive started to measure calories and hope it will have an effect.
Good luck. I’ve heard quitting smoking makes you gain weight like crazy. Counting calories never worked for me because I was always hungry, so I always cheated. I had to find foods like beans and greek yogurt that made me feel full after eating less. Maybe you also have certain foods that will be more efficient for you. I also found that anything with melted cheese makes me eat tons more than I normally would, just because it’s so damn good! So I mostly limit myself to “boring” foods now, with the occasional ice cream.
Well done friend. I wish luck getting to your goal weight
Hey, 5 lbs is a lot - good for you and keep up the great work
Well done!!! I also want to loose pounds but I don’t feel ready yet!
Great! I need to work on my mid section. I need to work on ab exercises. I have been eating healthy too, mostly.
Good for you! You’re an inspiration for us to get moving. Are you still on risperidone ?
Well done friend!
No I switched to Geodon after gaining thirty pounds in a month.
This should motivate you!
Wow, I lost a small infant of fat!
I am so happy for you!! <3
Nice work!!!
thats awesome @cj9556
i just started at the gym and i am trying to eat healthily but it is hard as you all probably know
at the gym i told myself i will just go as pay and go and so i have been trying to go as often as i can, like i started going about 2 or 3 weeks ago and now i have been about 7 times for an hour at a time,
and i find myself wanting to go now like its addictive or something lol
it started with them showing me the machines and how they work and they said that i would be better with some cardio so i was like ok, and they gave me this electronic key thing that i plug in and it monitors most of my exercises and it ticks the boxes as you use each machine, bc i like ticking off all the boxes,
its basically 3 machines and 10 mins on each machine (but i can change the settings and time on the machine) so i can make it faster, slower, harder, softer, and adjust the time if i want to do a bit more,
so i like doing a sweet 16 minutes on the teadmill and the bike, but i am not very good at the other machine and just try to reach the ten minutes,
so i mix it up a bit and i do 3 upper body machines and another that you push with your thighs and you can adjust the weights on all the machines,
after i do that i like to go on the punchbag lol but sometimes i will go on the rowing machine,
the gym is awesome and i love my rewards after i have a good work out, there is a mac d’s nearby after i go in and get like a chicken meal and a nice cool drink, but i am trying to break that habit.
need to eat healthier as well and i am scared of weighing myself as well but my belly looks smaller i suppose lol
I am down another pound! I read somewhere that healthy eating is like 80% of losing weight, and working out is only 20%. I don’t know if that is true or not. I eat mostly homemade things and rarely go out to eat, so I think that might be part of why it’s working for me.
