Did you listen to loud music when you were younger? or do you still?

i used to really bump to my music in my car when i was younger. its amazing i can hear anything now, but actually my hearing is pretty good now. i still listen to music, but at normal volume. i kind of grew out of the habit, but i always notice i can’t hear anybody’s music when they drive by, unlike me, who would drive through the neighborhood with loud music back in the day.

I recently downloaded an app that allows for audio to be played louder than ur phones original limit.

I use it when listening to stuff on YouTube that is already a low volume. So that way I can hear it at the same level as my songs on spotify.

I’ve never owned a car but I would love to bump outside of my ears :joy:

No I never listened to loud music. The only concert I went to was an Elton John concert.

I used to use my Dad’s hifi a lot and yeah I’d put it on a decent volume. Not super loud but loud enough to hear all the details. Now days I always listen on headphones because I don’t have good speakers myself.

Just be careful you don’t accidently leave it on and end up blowing your phone’s speakers!
You should look at getting a bluetooth speaker. They’re not “hifi” but there’s some decent ones for casual listening. Makes a big difference if you’re listening to music or watching shows.

I used to listen to loud, hard rock music all my life. I quit in my early 50’s. Now I only listen to very soft, contemporary and traditional classical music at low volume.

I live in the city and have grown weary of cars cruising by with their music and GPS navigation on full blast. The noise pollution is real. Sometimes I get ornery and imagine myself following people home so I can drive past their house all day long with my 80s soft rock going full blast. :smiling_imp:

I used to listen to loud music when I was a teenager, but not so much anymore. I start getting crabby after about 10 minutes of it.

Yes, I still have a 800-1000W 10" subwoofer in my car and a 1200W 12" subwoofer in the house. I don’t use them much though because they annoy ppl like my neighbor. My brother used it after midnight and the neighbor knocked on our door.

Yeah, in earphones though. Never aloud.

Oh yeah I still like to blast it. Almost till it hurts then turn it back down. Playing electric guitar loud is relax
I have super good headphones too with good bass

Its mainly classical / choral tho - and the neighbours have said some of its quite beautiful lol. So they dont mind.

I used to listen to loud music to a certain degree, but I always had neighbours in the back of my head and tried to not go over the top. Nowadays I just play music at a normal level. I don’t have a fancy or big stereo. When it’s 11pm I always turn it off to respect neigbours or switch to headphones.

I did. Plus I went to a lot of concerts. I also performed in a bandanna in a vocal jazz group in college and that was really loud too. Now I have some hearing loss

I would always have it as loud as it could go. Then I stopped due to feelings of shame.
