Wondering if anyone had a suspicion that they might be schizophrenic before actually seeing a doctor?

I had absolutely no clue. I had symptoms since I was 16 - 18 - the full psychosis was at 21.
After getting diagnosed, I still did not believe I was schizophrenic.

Until my second relapse. I made peace with it in 2015.

There was always something different about me. Didn’t know it was going to develop into schizophrenia till I was diagnosed.

I was normal until I finished high school then I took drugs and ruined my life even more

I had a feeling I had major depressive disorder, and not quite schizophrenia. But since my prodromal phase and psychotic break happened at a later age for a male, I knew something was off.

Me too but a few lsd trips made sure my life was going to be screwed

I tripped balls from weed, can’t imagine if I took lsd or shrooms.

I figured it out that I was different at a very young age. I would always see and hear things that others didn’t. But I didn’t figure out I might be sz until I started studying psychology at around age 15. And when I found that out I kept it to myself cause I was scared.

I had no idea till I went to the hospital, just thought that was the way life was. Suffered for years

I never knew about sz till it hit me fu cking hard…!!! Guys stay safe…!!!

Yup. I knew it but was really scared of having a doctor or therapist tell me. Then came the denial. I thought I had dp/Dr. Then I thought I had Aspergers. Then everything came full circle and I got the diagnosis.
