ive been on it a few months and lately i just wanna eat all the time…i dont remember it doing that to me in the past so maybe its not related but just wondering. ive gained about 7 pounds

I started gaining after 6months of no gain on it, I have to diet now

I started gaining with seroquel then added abilify, so I’m not sure whether it’s contributed to the gain.

Absolutely. I gained about 100 pounds on Abilify, most of which I’ve kept off now while on Zyprexa and now Risperidone.
Geodon made me gain a bit back because you have to eat 500 calories with it twice a day. Most of the time I didn’t want to eat and had to force myself. Now I’ve picked up some bad habits I’m trying to break. I’m only 11 pounds above my lowrst Abilify weight.

30 kg up… now after some months of healthy habits I halfway down again. About 15 more to go.
But if the question is can you lose weight on abilify, absolutely you can.

I was on Abilify for 8yrs. I gained 80lb on it but I ate lot of junk food. I was 220lb on it, before meds I was 140lb underweight.

I’ve gained weight not sure if it’s abilify though cos it didn’t happen until after a few years.
