Did sz/psychosis destroyed your life?

Oh sorry to hear that… Maybe u are depressed just not severely. Do u find it difficult to concentrate? Do u feel exhausted or tired? These are just rhetoric questions for if you are depressed…

There’s other symptoms too…

I am very negative about the prognosis. And I feel very tired but that can also come through the antipsychotics.

why would they do that?

Yea the judgment that may happen… So I didn’t tell many people at work only like manager knew cos I was hospitalised and like two other people who I asked to keep it confidential. Trying to hide the stress is so effort full and energy draining at work

How long ago did psychosis hit you?

Oh I thought u said u don’t have psychosis so why are u taking APs is it for the depression?

It was in 2016 like spring or summer so I’m quite new to it

No, at the moment i dont have psychosis haha. But 3/4 years ago i had a psychotic episode that lasted 3/4 months because of dexamphetamine abuse. I still take antipsychotics though. 2,5 mg risperidon. I am very scared of relapse, that is why i am still taking them.

Oh are you the one who said they stay away from all drugs and alcohol now? Me too

very good… Specialists would say when the first outbreak of the disease comes from excessive drug use, that the prognosis is much better. But it don’t feel that way haha. Im worrying to much.

Yes apart from the negative symptoms I always worry it will come back when that happens it’s like u get shut off from the whole world and its so mean

Yea, true. it’s so unfair.

I hope for you and for myself that it was a one-time experience. So that we can live our lives again as we always wanted.

How long did ur one time experience last? I didn’t go to get meds for two months then it still stayed for like three or two months then it went

After I had stopped taking dexamphetamine, I thought that psychosis would automatically pass.
But that was not true. It got even worse. With which I needed professional help and antipsychotics.
Even after using antipsychotics, it took another month and a half before the psychosis get away.

The total psychosis lasted 3/4 months

Well for me the psychosis temporarily went away after the first two months when I went to hospital so I thought I didn’t need med but then it came back after the release from hospital so I went on med

Ok similar to me just bit less for u
