Did anyone else ever go blind?

I did - in the 4th grade, went blind and ran into a girl. She hollered “ow” and I felt so bad I spent the rest of my recesses playing outside with mostly boys. I had really low self esteem.

One time when driving our car i run into motorcycle

Were you totally blind or just conditionally, like an oversight?

I was partially blind
I saw it but i dont think it is near like that

I was blind in a dream once. It wasn’t nice

Dreams in which I’ve been blinded, usually in violent manners. Those suck

Never in real life, that would be scary.

Sorry to say I’d rather be blind than deaf, I wouldn’t want to be alone with only the voices to hear.

PS: I did have an infected eyebrow ring that swole up and I woke up unable to see out of my left eye, confused me for a few seconds. Took the ring out and squeezed all the ickiness out

When I was a teen until 22, I was legally blind. I had laser surgery on my eyes. I’m now 20/200 without glasses and 20/20 with glasses. When I opened my eyes after surgery I was blown away at how beautiful and detailed the world is. It was so moving I cried. I could see everything! It was so awesome!

Hmm I don’t know if I would say I go blind. But I do lose my vision just before passing out. Split seconds before a loss of consciousness, I have just long enough to understand that I cannot see. No time to react or break the fall, only enough time to take note of the change and by then it doesn’t matter. I don’t think that is true blindness though.

LS! I have/had a problem with seeing ten/fifteen years ago. Often when stressed I saw only black and could see nothing this lasted between a minute and an hour. My psychiatrist was no help in this case.

I had three eye surgeries as a kid to correct my lazy eye. I would go a few days to a week without seeing anything. All the blood and ooze and such keeps the eyelids shut. So after all that I still have the lazy eyes and double vision. Driving can be a challenge using only one eye while the other is lollygagging about elsewhere.

One eye is farsighted and the other nearsighted.

Yes, I hate it when doctors act like they have answers when they don’t.

Had a reaction to Abilify and went blind for 3 days after first dose. ER was dumbfounded, decided to put it as a severe allergic reaction. So now when docs see that on chart, they just kinda look at me. I mean total blindness for 3 days, just had to let the dose wear off. My GP was like that’s one for the books! I’ve seen hives and swelling, but never blindness! She tells it to her med students to let them know that just cause a drug is FDA approved, doesn’t mean safe.

???You won!!! Hurting that girl should have
raised your self-esteem----not lower it!!!

I’ve always had guilt about aggression. We weren’t allowed to fight. I’m just beginning to realize a good fight can clear the air.

I have shaky vision sometimes due to MD. It’s very bothersome at times.
