Diabetes rage

I read diabetes causes rage. I feel like my anger issues were worse when I was eating lots of sugar. Do you get diabetes rage?

Man, I’ve never head of it and my entire family either has diabetes or will have it. It killed my mom in her forties. I’ve got it, but it’s under control now.

Omg. This article makes me angry. :woman_facepalming:t2: when my blood sugar gets very low I do get very very agitated. My whole body shakes and I can’t think. But it’s pretty low when that happens. Generally I start to feel it when it’s 70s or below. When my blood sugar is high I’m just in a sleepy stupor, no rage.

My blood sugar apparently dropped to 40 around 3am this morning. Woke up lying on the floor by the fridge with medics over me. I apparently had a seizure and became unconscious while trying to get juice. Hubby found me at 6am before going to work. I’m better now but my head feels horrible and I’m still agitated and foggy headed. They said it would take a couple weeks to mentally recover. Diabetes is a harsh disease.

I use emergency glucogen nasal spray when my sugar is below 60 but could not find it. My youngest daughter stole all my candy I keep for emergencies. All I could access was my juice but I was so disoriented at that point I didn’t drink it in time. I don’t even remember waking up. :woman_shrugging:t2:

I think there exaggerating a lot like that seems way to far fetched when my brother gets hogh blood sugar he does nothing violent at all and when his is low he becomes too dizzy he does get irritated but not that serious he also has autism and my dad has PTSD idk if the PTSD is a cause for irritation however I think my dad has mild depression

I’d argue that diabetics low blood sugar is the equivalent of not sleeping type irritability not rage violence or any of that ■■■■ that’s usually caused by something else

Sometimes you come up with the funniest stuff :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Thank you. I’m alright. I’m mentally terrified to sleep though. My insulin pump and phone alarm really loudly when my sugar is a certain number but sometimes I don’t react to it right away because I’m so sleepy. Hubby never hears the alarm. Sometimes I wish I had a therapy dog. I have to wake up at 3am every morning to check it as instructed by my endocrinologist. I’m just like……:woman_shrugging:t2:
