I read that some of ypu guys developed diabetes or High blood pressure after treatment . My question is how long did it take for you to develop it I mean how many years of treatment ?

Prediabetes, I went back to normal blood glucose after switching to Abilify.

Aren’t you switching to clozapine I think it’s more harmful than zyprexa

According to studies Zyprexa is 3x more harmful than Clozapine, 3x more weight gain.

Its actually more than 3x.

What about the blood work you need with clozapine is it same with zyprexa?

My blood glucose is normal now on 6mg Risperdal. No blood work required for zyprexa, the blood work for clozapine is to measure white blood cells.

Its seems like you’re defending Zyprexa for some reason, are you on it?

No but I see more people are using zyprexa compared to clozapine

Drs use it only if other APs failed. My case is special I guess as other APs are working.

Now I am on rexulti and I am sensitive to weight gain side effect
I weighed 130 kg last night and I am worried about getting diabetes or BP

I think Rexulti is supposed to be weight neutral or close to it. Its like Abilify. I was 85lb less on Abilify than now on risperdal. I am 285lb now. On Zyprexa I was over 300lb.

Did rexulti make you gain weight?

I didn’t take Rexulti, Dr prescribed it but I didn’t pick it up from the pharmacy as I was afraid that it will cause me the same side effects as Abilify. Afaik its sinilar to Abilify so weight neutral or close.

I gained 30 kgs on rexulti 70 lbs
It causes more weight gain than abilify

I actually developed diabetes after being on lithium for years.

I have both diabetes and high blood pressure.
