Another interesting article, Everhopeful

This article is saying that research suggests that depersonalization in sz happens at the beginning of the illness due to trauma and is less likely to happen as the illness progresses.

I thought that was interesting  I still experience a lot of depersonalization and I have lived with this disorder for over 30 years.

I had depersonalization and derealization (self-diagnosis). It’s dissociation. It eventually went away after years of therapy and trying different supplements.

Over the years, reducing caffeine, nicotine, and certain medications can change my level of dissociation. Exercise helps too.

I think it takes time (sometimes years).

I think I may have this but i get confused because I feel like I have anhedonia which goes together with emotional numbness. I just feel disconnected from my positive emotions mainly.

I have this when taking antipsychotic medication.
I feel like I’m seeing things from a different perspective.
