I can relate to the symptoms like loss of identity and numbed emotions and detached surrealness
Its scary, ive mentioned it to psychiatrist over the years but they seem more interested in schizophrenia
I feel intense fear and panic running all the time
I don’t know if anyone here can relate to any of this?

I used to deal with non-stop depersonalization and derealization. Now I only experience it once or twice a week.

Im not sure for me. I never really have any issues with thinking or feeling things arent real. My problem is i always think everything i am experiencing IS real. Even if im seeing things that arent there or hearing things that dont exist.

I struggle with it it kind of makes everything feel like a dream. Everything just feels far away and surreal. It’s hard to explain

Yeah. I get it too. Just like that feeling you’re removed from your body. I talked to my doctor about it and she didn’t say much.

I guess sz dx is enough of a complex thing and the psychiatrist doesn’t have time to explore depersonalization and derealization
Its annoying because i suffer for many years with it
Sometimes when I’m driving I feel like I am floating above my car and have no real body. I told the pdoc about it but he didn’t really care. I always find it a bit scary and pull over.

I get this during and after panic attacks. Lasts like a week afterwards.

Yeah I feel that way tonight after my family got together for an important function without me and my Mom told me she felt she would be unable to take any more trips due to her failing health.
