Ugh!! … Feeling hungover from tapering down the Depakote.
I’m on Day 10, got a ways to go.
Feels like I just got run over by a train!
Hopefully it will get better over time.
I also raised my Risperdal dose as requested by my doctor.
Only time will tell.

Thanks @everhopeful @anon51377248 and @TheCanuk .
I still feel sick, I’m also getting dizzy.
Just lying on my couch with a blanket.
Had some chicken soup.
Hopefully things will get better.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. You’ll feel better soon. It sounds like you’re taking extra good care of you right now, so that’s good.
When I went off Paxil it felt like I had the flu for 2 weeks. I even tapered and everything. I had been on it for years.
Hope you start to feel better soon @Wave .

If you feel like that I’d slow the taper, or go back up temporarily.
I had this when I went from 30mg Diazepam down to 10mg
It will take a long time, and from what you describe you may be going too fast on your drop.
Is there any way you can slow up a bit to ease these feelings?
Sorry your suffering

Thank you @Leaf @anon1517417 and @Joker .
I crashed on my bed and just woke up at 5am.
I’m now feeling a bit better but I think I’ll slow down the taper @Joker , thanks for your advice.
I’ll stay at my current dose of 500mg for at least 2 weeks more then I’ll drop to 250mg and etc…

Wave:
I’ll slow down the taper
Remember you’re pushing the boundaries of dependancy for the drug, so there is no shame in having to increase. What you’re doing I strongly advocate if you want to come off, as I know where you’re coming from.
Any reduction is progress, and sometimes you may have to go back up, but you should settle
No need to make yourself feel sick
I always struggle with withdrawals, and knowing whether it’s the return of illness or just drug dependancy making me ill
Good luck @Wave
