i dont care what you say demons are real and not a delusion
someone has to be responsible for my thoughts some thing bad with evil intent and the best description of that is a demon
btw i dont think this is an unusual belief, i think this is quite a common belief so could you please stop moving my posts to the unusual beliefs place
I think you’ll get moved again, sry. Part of insight is to recognize that your hallucinations are not real. I’m sure they seem real, I know mine do but it’s all a game/in your head. Recognizing that is the first step to getting treatment. You should see a dr and tell him your symptoms. I think that the worst sz patients never gain the insight to see what’s real and what’s not but almost everyone in this forum does. You can do it. Just know you’re not alone
It doesn’t really matter what you think. The purpose of that category is to keep these kinds of posts away from those who think they might be triggered by it. In the future, please post any threads about demons or similar things in the Unusual Beliefs section.
Trust me your not alone I feel that the demons is responsible for some of my thoughts some so bad I think im a horrible individual. Would u mind me asking what type of thoughts you feel are influenced by demons?
i think if i want to be able to deal with these thoughts then ive got to know where they come from and who is pulling all th strings, demons spread evil â– â– â– â– everywhere so if it isnt them doing it then what else can it be and where else is it coming from
these thoughts dont just come from nowhere
all of them are influenced by demons all the thoughts that shouldnt be there and that i dont want are caused by demons
if you think about it they are winning because we get medicine and then all they do is sit back and laugh at their handiwork, they cause us to be medicated and i hate them for that
Believing in demons is technically not an unusual belief no.
Believing demons are responsible for your thoughts though would be considered an unusual belief.
I believe in demons. In order to talk about them in therapy I have to accept that whoever I’m speaking with will see me as psychotic and that’s just how it goes. I definitely realize I struggle w psychosis but some elements of it do not feel like they are just an illness. It’s hard.
Totally not your fault, totally agree. I’m not at fault nor the stuff going on in my head either. But we can take control of our situation with meds. The only winner with meds is us and everyone we deal with.
I think you might be making some progress saying it’s your brain. But what you can also realize is that your brain is creating the hallucinations you perceive as demons. If you can realize you are in control of them despite the way it looks you might find yourself in more control. :). Try to treat it as a video game
If you lost the use of your arm thru seizure or aneurism would you blame yourself? No. So if your brain makes up some demons that’s not your fault either.
Look the distinction is important to make that the demons do not exist in reality. That’s the hallucination.
I know your not making it up because I have a similear phenomenon. If you heard my voices you would see. the hallucination is very real, but the cause is within you. That’s why medication works
