Delusions or special abilities?

I promise, you’re not a horrible person. Far from it. You just feel a lot and it’s overwhelming.

It doesn’t sound like delusion to me, @StripedShirtBoy. It sounds more like a natural gift you have. You are very special.

Yes, this is me.

Hey there, I was reading and remembered my delusions on my worst phase.

When I wasn’t occupied with studying I had a lot of delusions on the beginning, when I started to hearing voices. It was horrible! I cried so many times with other people emotions, they weren’t clearly mine. I didn’t had motives to cry with such intensity. What they told me at the time was that there were some people who regret their choices and were living badly with it. I had chest pain, my heart was racing and sorrow was the feeling that predominate in those days. I used to cry compulsively when they attacked with the strongest sorrow. It was mostly people with aids and sex workers.

I know in fact that the voices that I hear were from actually people, I’ve received a punch from a guy who hears the same voices as me. So yes, you could feel somebody else sorrow and grief. I also felt it

These days I’m emotionally numbed and I thank God for it. I also try to cheer up my voices, I don’t want to feel that sorrow again.

Good luck with those feelings

As LED said you aren’t a bad person from what it seems on the forum. I don’t mean to be a buzzkill but it might be somewhat delusional to think one can remotely manipulate others emotions

Seems like you have a good ‘amount’ of emotional intelligence,
it really helps with acquiring and maintaining relationships.

In your shoes I would look at it as it is without spiritualizing it more than it’s necessary.

Manipulating isn’t always wrong.
for example, I enjoy good friendships and I’d like them to last, so I empower my friends and make them feel better, usually I do it in a calculated manner, leading the conversation to the place they shine in. I do it to be a valuable friend, and it influences them positively.

Knowing how to manipulate gives you power over people, the question is what will you do with it.
