Darksith and now Brian Ashley knows

Me too. Now you went and made me think I’m right. I’m sure I am not the only tenant here who has a problem with their neighbor. But SEVERAL of the other disabled people here have big problems with the group that is in the majority here.

Know what?

Telepathy… It’s ■■■■■■■■ whether it’s real or not.

Give it time you’ll learn to not give a damn either way.

This is what you wrote one or two days ago in a thread I started:
“Keep fighting man, youll win some day whether this is an internal battle or they are really trying to eff with you”.
I took it to heart.

We’ve got a redneck pisstank living across the street from us. He likes to blast his tunes on weekend evenings during the summer. I’ve show restraint by not aiming 15,000 Watts of DJ sound equipment and a laser light show across the street at him thus far. Dumb bugger needs a good dose of dubstep, if you ask me.

I have a nieghbor who lives behind me and seemed to be using dj equipment for his stereo. His bass was so strong it came into all rooms of the house with the house totally closed up. Somone told him to turn down the bass now I only hear it if I am outside but have peace inside(and I like music with bass) but it was like a voice in my head. I am glad someone told him to turn the bass down.

Unfortunately something like that is all some neighbors understand. You’re gambling if someone is going to get the message that they are in the wrong. OR, are they going to escalate matters thinking they’re right.

At Schizophrenia.com We get emails all the time from people who live next door to people who have schizophrenia - and are wondering how to get help for their ranting, delusional neighbor.

Not saying that this is you Nick - just be aware that their hassling you could be a delusion. Have you got any friends that don’t have any type of psychosis, who experience the same issues with these neighbors? Do the other neighbors of this neighbor share your concerns?

Dude isn’t the most intelligent fellow. He is quite possibly the missing link between homo sapiens and homo neanderthalensis. I know two wrongs don’t make a right, but a man is allowed to fantasize. Especially if he can’t sleep because El 'Tard is playing Red Solo Cup for the fifth time in a row.

Good point Brian. My step-dad brought up this very same point. So did my step-mom. It sounds like a good question to ask my apartment manager.

Interesting posts. After all these posts about peoples neighbors, does it really seem like all my complaints are delusional? Or perhaps just maybe I ended up with two neighbors who have no qualms about taking advantage of the situation? Incidentally when I first moved out on my own in 1995,my sister rented me a room in her condo. We shared a common wall with our neighbors who were a mother and two teens who CONSTANTLY made loud noises. The teens who were 15 and 17 wrestled and ran through their house on a daily basis. It made incredibly loud noises. My sister went next door several times to complain but they wouldn’t stop. There was nothing we could do. Bad neighbors who even my sister who was in the Air Force for 9 years, was married a couple times with two kids and supported herself for many years, could not get anywhere with these people. When my other sister got divorced from my ex-brother-in-law in 2005 she moved out into her own place and let my brother-in-law live in their old house alone. He got in a feud with a neighbor who shone big bright lights that lit up my ex-brother-in-laws whole backyard at night and they played loud music. He put up with this for awhile and then took matters into his own hands. He bought a bright light and shined it into their living room. Matters escalated and he went to their door and threatened them until they called the cops who came and took him to jail.
Now two points here: #1 : “Normies” have big problems with neighbors too.
#2 : Problems with neighbors made my ex-brother-in-law act totally out of character. He was actually the quintessential “normie” in almost every way and he was normally very peaceful and level-headed.

These people, who you’ve never even spoken to, probably don’t even know that they’re doing anything to annoy you. Why not talk to them?

When I first joined I think there was a post from you that after talking with her she was triggering you. found it

Seems by the comments by others on that. That this is around the time it all started between you and her., So what was the change around Sept last year?

@77nick77 in the last place we lived in, there was this neighbor who was a royal pain in the ass - He was also involved in a lot of drug activity and booze. He would be out by his open garage during the warmer times of the year - blaring his loud music, or pretending to work around his yard - he mainly stayed outside because the owner of the place, his live in girlfriend seemed to prefer that he ‘lived’ outside of the house - he was a royal pain in the neck.

He was loud, rude and obnoxious. He once stopped my Dad and I in our car, and complained that the glare from the aluminum wrapped outdoor plant from our front yard was bothering his eyes. He asked us if we could remove it.
Now this was a neighbor from Hell. I become obsessed and paranoid of him, but I could not just ignore him, because I was not doing so well. It seems like you cannot just ignore your neighbors, this could be a sign that you are a bit paranoid and delusions could be involved - Maybe it is past time, that you talk to your pdoc about a medication adjustment?
If it is difficult to ignore your obnoxious neighbors, and you become obsessed and paranoid with their existence, you might not be doing so well. I would have that talk with your psychiatrist before things get out of hand and snowball out of control.

i have had the same problem.
yet looking back on it, it could also be the voices acting
if they where your neighbours. so go outside and politly have a talk with them.
maybe they havent noticed anything, or they can give you pointers.
which can strengthen your delusion, but at least you will know more.

@77nick77 Have you asked other residents whether they are having problems with them? It might give you an idea if you are justified in your suspicions or whether it’s illness related.
