Nothing wrong with a good firm handshake
Because they want to come off as strong and assertive.
You could also turn it around and say, why do some people put their hand in yours like it’s a dead fish?

I recall I forget where but some guy used to tell me to squeeze his hand as hard as I could for some reason. I don’t know why.

When you give a handshake both people should at least try to use their whole hand.
I can’t stand when people only stick out their fingers.
