Do you shake, pound, and/ or hi-five?

kind of a male ritual question, do you shake, pound, or hi-five when you meet someone? i have a friend where we pound and slap hands. another friend where we don’t do anything. head bobs at the gym. handshakes at work.

I shake a hand. Firmly but not too much pressure. I’m a touchy feely guy these days.

Before meds I’d never hug anyone. It was all too weird. Nowadays I hug whoever I can. Men. Yeah but most want a shake…Ladies. If family you get a hug. Strangers get a shake!

I usually just shake hands. Every once in a while a high-five. I think I know what a pound is, do it too. Once in a while I do the more elaborate hand-shake/pound/slap thingie, but only with older friends from the 80’s.

Shake hands. When I was younger me and friends would high five and things but these days when and if i meet someone or generally interacting with people I find myself just shaking hands.

I shake like I mean business… most of the people who are older appreciate it. I know they had to practice back in the day.

I generally don’t shake hands, or high five and I don’t know what “pound” means. Nobody ever seems to want to hug me so, no, I don’t hug either except this one lady I know who is 91 years old and the sweetest little thing you ever met in your life. If I like someone, I tend to touch them lightly on their shoulder with one finger or all of my fingertips of one hand very briefly.

My family members get hugs sometimes. That is, when I think about it. Or, when they think about it.

I usually shake for most people unless they seem to want a fist bump or high five. My boss and I have a mixed fist bump high five thing.
