I love my city because it’s right near everything but has everything I want for life too. Like 20 minutes drive to a nature preserve. 20 minutes to my parents house. Etc… idk there’s a lot of good things.
The downside of my city is it’s not very nice in a lot of areas.
So there’s this mini mart I went to a lot it opened only four months ago I think and it was really nice. It was in my friends neighborhood not mine but we would go there often. Well last week two guys in masks went and poured gasoline on the building with the owner inside and lit a match. Burned the place to a crisp. Owner is alright though. I knew him decently well too. He was a cool guy I thought.
When I first moved here either I was blind to some of the crazy things going on or they weren’t happening. But recently I’ve witnessed some crazy stuff as well. humans can be so destructive, burning down buildings ,what the heck!!
Welcome back. I live in a nice family neighborhood in an apartment building for people with mental health issues. I don’t even have to leave my building or my own apartment to see and experience really crazy stuff.
There was one year we had the 4th highest violent crime rate in the USA
Fairfield county, Connecticut. We have towns like greenwich, new Canaan, Wilton, weston, Westport, Darien, Ridgefield, Fairfield (all these are amazingly wealthy towns they call it the Gold Coast) then in the same county you have the 4th highest violent crime rate in the country. I figure it’s because the rich get richer the poor get poorer.
But now it’s becoming gentrified here in the city I live in. And the next poorest city in the county just opened a brand new mall and opened so much new housing. And the rich towns never stop building. I feel like it’s the FUTURE here. I gotta run. Ttygl
