Countdown to Wellbutrin

I was told at last pdoc appt we would be able to try Wellbutrin at next appt if med reductions was going well.

Everything seems fine at this point so I’m expecting Wellbutrin prescription on November 7th at next pdoc appt.

I don’t want to get my hopes up, but I am really pinning my hopes on this change more than I probably should allow.

Looking for the potential of more energy, more enjoyment of things, and just a better mood overall.

:crossed_fingers:

I think I have improved some with med reductions but I always want more…MORE.

I really like my Wellbutrin.

Good luck with it.

I take the lower 150 mg dose and it already makes a difference.

I really would have liked to try it. Works on nor ephiledrine or what that spelling is but you couldn’t get it out here because they registered it as an anti smoking drug or something stupid like that. I couldn’t access it so had to use Effexor…

Yeah it’s great and works well but the side effects are horrible so wellbutrin really was appealing to me and it really irked me I couldn’t get it prescribed without paying oodles of dollars.

Good luck and it’s worth a shot. I have horrible depression and ssri’s just don’t fit me or my brain. The effexor and probably that wellbutrin do/ could so it’s really worth a shot.

I know mentioning something like this might be touchy on this forum but I got 6 ketamine infusions over the course of 3 weeks. The last infusion was two weeks ago and I gotta say I feel ALOT better. I’m enjoying things more, I haven’t had a suicidal ideation since the first infusion, my anxieties better and I’m looking for work again. It was a huge help. I’m not recommending anything. It’s definitely a risky option for people like us. It did however help me.

Buproprion has helped me a lot, makes you alittle energetic when you first start taking it.

Great drug, had lots of fun times on it. Worked well for depression and motivation. Safety profile doesn’t excite me though and after years on it I felt like it was causing side effects. I wouldn’t want to go back on it permanently but I would still have my time with it again. It was a game changer when I first found it.

Wellbutrin is the only antidepressant that does not make me manic as hell
