I picked up cacao nibs at the grocery store while I was getting all sorts of stuff to put in cookies.
I don’t think I realized what they were.
I tried them and have mixed feelings.
What do I do with them?

I just googled “recipes using cacao nibs” and it came up with a bunch of sites that have lists of recipes. Maybe look through those? It seems like they’re all baking recipes.
I also googled it and all I could find is “energy balls” and vegan cookies.
Trying to find something outside of that.
Have you ever used them?
No, I never have.
What if you grind them, make truffles, and roll them in the cacao?
That’s not a bad idea.
And I do make truffles a lot.
I have candied them in the past and used them as garnish on cakes and muffins. I know some people use them in savory dishes, but I’ve yet to try them that way. They’re lovely in ice cream as they have a nutty, chocolate flavour, but with a satisfying crunch that adds texture to the dessert.
You work it into muffins or cupcakes.
Google search says you can make hot cocoa!
EDIT: Oops! @LilyoftheValley already posted this…
But there are other things to explore on Google. I searched “cocoa nibs recipes”.
After a little looking around,
I think I’m going to put them in my peanut brittle I’m making later.
That ought to be interesting.
You can make smoothies with them!
Put them in smoothies or in cookie or cake recipes. Or try in yogurt.
