After 6 months, can I refuse to take my medications?
It depends on if it is extended. Why would you want to stop meds? To get a CTO you have to be sick and in need of them.
Why you want to take the risk of killing yourself and maybe others? That’s how I am without meds.

mine has been ongoing for 4 years now. the judge has had enough of it and says im doing well. but my doctors keep asking him for an additional 6 months because they think i will stop medication. the worst part is you have to take a day out of your schedule to go to this stupid thing when you know what the outcome is going to be already. my hearings don’t last long, like 10 minutes. but they make me speak each time and it’s a waste of energy.
i could always move and be done with it. but they got me in a pickle because i can’t afford to move. and i just got a new pdoc who wants to make sure i avoid another hospitalization. honestly im med compliant now, as i couldn’t function enough to work without my meds.
one time i got put on a cto and didn’t take my meds anyways, and the police came to my house to take me to the hospital, they did that twice and then stopped showing up. but i ended up detioriating and back on another cto, when i was picked up hiking along the highway trying to walk to california to start a new life. they won’t even let me leave this place.
