My negative symptoms are much worse than my cognitive symptoms. I was tested several times and they said my cognition is very good but I can’t put it into use because of my severe negative symptoms which I hate. Sz did hit my cognition but the hit was much bigger to my negative symptoms. I wish there is a way to fix this as I don’t mind the already lost cognition.
Have you tried other APs besides Abilify and the one you’re on right now? (Risperidone I think it was)
I tried Abilify, Latuda, Seroquel, Zyprexa and Risperidone. Risperidone is best so far overall but maybe I will try Vraylar if my Dr accepts.
One Dr wanted me to try Clozapine for negative symptoms but I refused.
Because of blood tests?
I dunno what to say.
My negatives were too much to bare but after 2 more episodes, caused by my messing with the AP, they got much better. I no longer mess with my meds but I don’t need to, because I’m stable and free of negatives. Well, almost. I don’t advise you to quit meds and see what happens after 2 relapses, of course. I’m just saying nothing is set in stone, don’t lose hope. It can get better. Maybe Vraylar, maybe CBT, maybe a miracle. Take it easy on yourself. Nobody deserves to suffer this frigging much.
Not only that but also because another pdoc told me it won’t help and will make me gain much more weight and have metabolic diseases like diabetes etc
Thanks, I hope it improves on its own. Though now I am happier than before as I accepted my new self.
You could ask your doctor if he could give you any stimulants without making the positive symptoms worse, maybe he can get something to help you, even if it’s a low dose (it could be ginseng or adderal or ritalin…)
I have Negative Symptoms, I can play shooting games, but I can’t walk alone on the street or drive, I don’t know exactly why
I asked him about these, he said these will make me psychotic.
Maybe Vraylar will help.
