Prebiotics have taken off thanks to claims that they can boost “gut health” by helping beneficial bacteria grow in the gut. Their health benefits haven’t been conclusively proven.
Prebiotics, interesting.
I wonder if it has caffeine
I didn’t know the difference between prebiotics and probiotics until recently.
Probiotics are the good, live bacteria that live in your gut.
Prebiotics are fiber and nutrients that help feed the probiotics.
Probiotics are the bacteria, prebiotics are the food for the bacteria.
I like how they’re always saying something like may in articles: May boost gut health. The Keto Diet “may” be good for diabetics. My new supplements may promote weight loss. The Mediterranean Diet may help you lose weight. I see this all the time.
You have to eat a ferrociously high level of probiotics for them to survive gut transit. The amount in the soda and in yogurt is generally insufficient.
Fermented foods like sauerkraut (homemade) are your best and most affordable bet.
Good to know @Gamera
I didn’t know the difference until now
Thanks
