Clubhouse Presentation :)

Hey Guys, I put this in the school & work section because it feels like i will be teaching a subject to a class of students :slight_smile: the only difference is that the Students will be a mix of Clubhouse Staff, Members & Students.

The subject is pretty cool bc it is all to do with Our Clubhouse & Clubhouse Europe, Many of our Members & Staff are not familiar with Clubhouse Europe or Clubhouse International so i thought I’d do a presentation informing them a little about what we do and how we do it.

I was on a board meeting today and it was great, we have been circulating a survey around all clubhouses in Europe & we want as many people to answer it as possible,

I realised that in my Clubhouse pre-pandemic we had become a bit distant from the Clubhouse Europe Community with staff changes and then the pandemic we seemed to have forgotten we’re part of a greater group, But now i am seeking to change all of that.

I want our Clubhouse to prosper and get deeply involved in Europe & Internationally if i can, we have an ambassadors group and i am hoping it will grow to help us all better communicate, stories from members home countries, Members testimonials, Clubhouse Challenges, Accreditation etc,

& i would also like to attend some training and maybe some conferences.

Anyway, i am looking forward to doing this presentation which will be a good run up to the AGM/Achievements Day we are preparing for. Its exciting and i wanted to share it with everyone :slight_smile:

I was talking to a friend of mine in the Clubhouse today & he is very inspirational bc he does so much despite his illness, he hears voices & is very sedated but he does his best,

I like seeing him bc i know he is a fighter. he asked me about myself as well and i said my med helps a lot but i also said sometimes the med doesn’t do as good as we want it to and we get breakthrough symptoms,

I also said that sometimes people struggle with meds as well.

I asked our boss if he had read the email, he said he thinks its a good idea to talk about Clubhouse Europe & what its all about, what we have been doing etc

My boss said not to rush it but I’m keen on doing it asap but i could wait and do it next week, I’m not sure. i have already prepared 7 slides for it.

Another thing i asked about was outreach & so I’m hoping to go chat to other charities about our charity and what we do. inform people & maybe we can get some new members bc our numbers are a little lower than we’d like.
