Anyone on clozapine? How often do you have to get your blood drawn? Right now I’m at every two weeks. When I started about a year and a half ago it was three times a week. I don’t like having to do blood work every two weeks, and I’d like to go for a longer period of time between blood draws. Just wondering how often other people have to get their blood drawn due to taking clozapine

I’m on 150 mg every night and I get a blood test every 4 weeks. It’s kept me out of the Hospital.
At the beginning it was every week and then every two weeks and now monthly.

I get labs monthly. Clozapine has been my miracle.

I’ve been told that your blood must be drawn once monthly after one year.
I remember that my blood was drawn once a month while I was on 600 mg Clozapine 25 years back in time.

When I first got on clozapine the first 6 months required a blood test every week. Then from 6 months to a year biweekly. Then finally after a year it’s every 4 weeks
It’s been monthly for me about 9 years now
It was a pain and still is but it was the only medicine to stop my auditory hallucinations and delusions at the time

I’m just on 25 mg and don’t get blood drawn anymore after all these years.

A friend of mine swear to Clozapine and has become high functioning on that. I’m not on Clozapine but high functioning aswell

I take 100mg am and 300mg pm
Had to do about 6 months of weekly tests and I have been on two weekly for a while now
Think after that it goes to once a month
When I was started on it in hospital the checks were several a day
Once in the community the crisis team took over for a while
Couldn’t hack it in the hospital
Those places are not what they used to be
