Clean Bedding (+Poll)

I cant believe I’ve left it so long but i didn’t know, my mattress topper is past its sell by date, they don’t tell you that when you buy it and it doesn’t say anything on it, i looked it up and it said my memory foam topper has a life of 2-5 yrs and its been over 10yrs and i wonder why I’ve been getting aches & pains :frowning:

All i can say is for people to not be like me, i think changing bedding often & if you have anything that you’ve been using for a while and you wake up in pain then definitely check it out.

how often dyou change your bedding?

  • once a week

i slept on a broken twin sized bed sloped in the middle like a V for years. once i finally replaced it there were metal links falling from the box frame, some things are hard to realize when there are a million other things to deal with. im glad now tho as i have a much more comfortable queen sized bed and am not in as much pain, i didnt know how much of a difference itd make until it happened,

to answer the question probably like once a month or less, when i was younger probably over a year or longer, not proud of it but if it ever smelled id change it immediately, maybe taking many showers and changing clothes often and using antiperspirant and always having a fan on barely sweating is a contributer,

i voted and its a similar thing, i dont sweat much and i wear bedclothes as well, i use to only change them when they were noticably dirty or something, now its over a month, i should have a 6 week marker & maybe 3 month bc its so variable with people, just for the record i will not be shaming anyone.

atm i change mine 1month - 6 weeks but i want to do it more regularly.

I live alone and sleep in a single bed.

I wear pjs and have 2 Egyptian cotton sheets that get changed every 2/3 months.

Rarely do the pillow cases and duvet cover get washed.

If you do it once a month I think you can get a lot of good out of it. Less than that and you might see some benefit to your skin and only see the benefit for a short while. Consistent upkeep will gradually improve skin condition in my experience.
