I've asked before, I'll ask again: Do you make your bed in the mornings?

How often do you make your bed?

I say sometimes but I mean most the time I do.

I don’t. I spread covers out before going to bed.

Every once in a while I will make the bed every day.

I got squicked out by the reports that mites and stuff love breeding under the covers.

I say never but its more like

Make once / 3 mos.

Wash once / 6 mos.

I have to make my bed every morning or I feel weird.

How do you sleep in a messy bed?

The covers are all uneven!

Wash the sheets every couple weeks, the comforter and blankets about every month.

@anon4362788 are you saying the mites are worse if you make your bed?

That’s what I have heard. Let me see if I can find a link.

Oh boy.

This information might change my life.

I don’t like that thought of mites in my sheets.

You can just fold back your sheets and blankets to the foot of the bed neatly and still look nice.

Oh dear gods.

I need a new mattress and a new way to make my bed.

Just vacuum the matteress. Then make the bed and fold the stuff back.

Very easy. I don’t think the bed gets dirty. But i think the detergent industry wants us to buy wash too much and buy their products.

My husband vapes and leaves the vape on the bed overnight.

It leaves these little dots of vape juice from his leaky vape.

That’s mostly why I wash them so often.

The little dots drive me crazy.

Oh - invest in a better vape pen - my spouse has a good one - kind of pricey - like 50$ and its considered luxury.

I made him switch to high quality disposables.

Now, less dots.

But investing in a decent vape is a good idea.

I used to be horrendous at cleaning my bed sheets. Usually 2 times a year. Blankets maybe once a year or every 2 years. Pillows i didnt even know i should wash so maybe 5 year? Lol

I’m messy because I find keeping everything neat and in prefect order is too much work and a waste of time. (But I’m clean, I shower and wear clean clothes every day)

The minute you crawl into a freshly made bed and pull the covers over you the way you want it becomes messy.

And you can’t beat the 2nd law of thermodynamics so why try?

That law says entropy is always increasing in the universe. Entropy is disorder.

That means the universe is getting more and more disordered over time.

It’s why cars break down and turn to rust, but cars don’t fix themselves and rust doesn’t turn into cars.

Basically the entire universe is breaking down and there is nothing you can do about it. In trillions of years there will be nothing left, no planets, stars or black holes, just an empty void.

I think an easy solution is sleeping in a sleeping bag on top of a mattress.

I put never, but the truth is almost never. I do on rare occasion make it.
