Chess is good for improving your mind (For Schizophrenia patients)

I’ve always been more of word games/puzzle person. Was good at scrabble, but not the type to fanatically look for new words I could use. It’s been nearly two decades since I last played. Did join the internet scrabble club, but left when an opponent started asking about what job I did(large amount of self stigma over never having had a paid job)

Another thing I’m crap at, jigsaw puzzles.

Ah nice, I got my first high in college. I stopped caring about school, too, around that age (13).

Genes for psychosis and creativity: a promoter polymorphism of the neuregulin 1 gene is related to creativity in people with high intellectual achievement - PubMed I’m T/T. There was research, about a decade or so ago, that showed that schizophrenia tended to occur in those significantly less intelligent than other family members. Family avg 160 Individual 130 = increased risk . Family avg 95 individual 90/95 = no increased risk

I love banana grams. Have you ever composed or freestyled raps? Idk if thats more a younger generation thing. Dang it, I hope we can get some of these cognitive drugs to market soon

I reckon it’s more perceived as less intelligent than actually being less intelligent, what does the numbers signify?

Those were just numbers I used to show what the research meant. It was more than just being perceived as less intelligent.

I’ve never been a rapping kind of person.

My son is a wizard at chess. He plays a lot in school, and he occasionally plays with us at home. I enjoy it once I get into it.
