Changing A Light

Anyone here have trouble changing out a light bulb?

How about using a screw driver to unscrew thing?

I had to explain to someone across the country how to change a lamp in a scientific instrument today. This requires removal of 3 screws and unplugging a cable. She got two screws out fine but couldn’t get the third one so I told her to get a maintenance guy to do it. She did and it was unscrewed.

I expected her to be able to take it from here as it was the reverse process of what I just explained to her to do but she messaged me while I was doing something else and said she would wait until I am available. She has been at lunch for an hour and I am waiting on her to get back online so I can explain to her how to put in the lamp.

She is a college graduate with a degree in Chemistry and she must be fairly smart in other areas but I am just sort of amazed at how simple this task is that she needs someone to walk her through.

I don’t think I am the sharpest tool in the shed but this is just a little bit ridiculous for me to be waiting, going on an hour, on someone to show them essentially how to screw in a light bulb.

Anyone have experience on either end of the stick in a similar scenario?

I’m mechanically challenged. I could totally see myself struggling with something just as ridiculously easy.
