Change of Medication

Latuda is going to go generic next August. I am now getting free samples from a nurse practitioner. In the pharmacy, the prices are ridiculous: $1,000-$1,300 for a months supply. The psychiatric nurse tells me that generic prices will not be much lower. Any suggestions as to a replacement for the Latuda?

Sup buddy martin …latuda is still unavilable in our nepali market…

What are u upto…

Look how cheap chlorpromazine is to buy.

Hi there!

I am currently on latuda.

I believe it helps me but I do also believe get jaw clenching from it.
I was on olanzapine before that.
I get a rebate through Medicare and health care concession card and only pay $6.30 for a box.

Thankful for our Medicare and healthcare system here where we do get good help.

What medication are you currently on?

My dr I had interstate gave me latuda samples then a prescription.

I lost ten kg on them so amonly five to ten kg above my normal weight so to say.

Why do you want to go on latuda?

Have you done research about it and think it is best suited medication for you?
Is it your Dr also who thinks it is a good medication for you to try?

A thousand dollars sounds very expensive.
That’s more than I get paid from centrelink.

I do not work as a person but am hoping to get pension and then be able to do volunteer work for meals on wheels.

Good wishes for /to you.

What country are you living in?

You seem stable on whatever meds you’re on now. Why the need to change?

The United States. Where are you?

Read my post again. You will see.

Are you saying that you’re surviving on free samples ?! That’s not good.

Doesn’t your insurance make it considerably cheaper?

Yes…I am surviving on free samples…They are readily available.
My insurance brings the cost of the Latuda down, but not enough so that I can afford it. I am thinking now of Geodon, which is generic.
