For the record I’m convinced I DONT have sz and that people are actually messing with me. Some would call that a delusion but I think it’s true
They think it might be a defective gene
Your great (x100) grandfather insulted a wizard who cast a spell on his future family members that every future generation or so would have a member or two cursed with voices who would read their minds and play games with their heads causing a burden on the family. The only way to lift the spell is to eat a toad’s wart, along with the pee of a warthog and go in front of your other family members and sing Louie Louie (there was a version then) while dancing naked in front of the king (or whoever your leader is now.) Don’t do that please. I made that up.
I learnt drugs can unearth schizophrenia from those who were meant to get it sometime in their lives. People who are susceptible etc
Not really a good argument. Not everybody who smokes gets cancer.
Not everybody who eats lots of sugar gets diabetes.
And so forth.
Marijuana use raises the chance that a person will become schizophrenic if they already have the propensity to get it.
Thus the concept of a “trigger”, as you mention.

People just don’t GET sz, your either genetically predispositioned to get it or drug use causes it. This is what I believe anyway.
By the way these articles don’t prove anything. No one has proved that drug use doesn’t cause sz in certain individuals ( and I don’t mean those who were going to get sz anyway regardless of drug use, I mean people prone to mental health DIFFICULTIES (not mental illness))
Im sure drugs helped cause my SZ.
Thing is, if you have a pre disposed SZ gene, drugs will amplify it and help activate it.
Dunno, just my theory !!
But drugs DEF play a role in activating it.
Pretty sure of that.
